About Us

Craftwright Quilts provides a wide range of longarm quilting services and prides itself on tailoring our services and offerings to each client’s unique needs.

Over forty years ago, Janet learned hand piecing and quilting from her grandmother, who made each quilt with nothing more than a pair of scissors, a needle and a spool of white thread. Through the years Janet has explored all types of quilting, from foundation paper piecing to improv art quilting. She began free-motion quilting on her domestic machine twenty years ago and purchased her first longarm quilting machine 15 years ago. Through the years she has studied with some of the best quilters in the world, including Nancy Crow, Amanda Murphy, Angela Walters, Gina Perkes, Angela Huffman, Susan Brubaker Knapp, Lyric Montgomery Kincaid, Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, and Sheila Frampton Cooper.

Craftwright Quilts was founded on the belief that pride in craftsmanship is one of the most satisfying benefits from being a maker. We believe anyone can be a quilter, and all quilts have value, whether a jelly roll race quilt made by a first time quilter, or an heirloom quilt requiring hundreds of hours of detailed applique.

As a longarm quilting service, we are here to add value to your quilt in every way we can, whether that be a simple edge-to-edge design for a simple baby quilt, or custom free motion and ruler work quilting for your heirloom bucket list quilt. Using the latest technology, including the ability to custom design a digital quilting design just for your project, we are able to deliver personalized results at a fraction of the cost of traditional custom quilting.
